The George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center (GWCC) is proud to announce the Sneaker Ball Party, a signature fundraising event designed to bring the community together for an evening of style, music, and purpose. The event will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 8:00 PM at the GWCC Center, located at 950 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
The Sneaker Ball Party is a unique celebration where guests are encouraged to wear formal attire paired with their favorite sneakers, blending elegance with creativity. The evening will feature music by DJ ICE, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The event is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle), with a $10 bar service offered for guests’ convenience.
This event serves as a fundraiser for the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center, with a special focus on supporting the Carver Arts After-School Program. Ticket proceeds will help sustain and expand programming that provides local youth with safe, structured, and inspiring opportunities after school.
The Carver Arts After-School Program has become a cornerstone of youth development in Randolph County. The program offers students access to visual arts, music, dance, theater, and creative expression, while also emphasizing mentorship, confidence-building, and academic support. Through partnerships with local schools, artists, and community organizations, the program has helped young people discover their talents, improve self-esteem, and stay engaged in positive activities during critical after-school hours.
Beyond the arts academy, GWCC serves as a vital community hub, hosting educational programs, cultural events, civic engagement initiatives, and family-focused activities year-round. From youth enrichment and senior programming to community celebrations and voter engagement efforts, GWCC remains committed to strengthening Asheboro and Randolph County by creating opportunities for connection, learning, and empowerment.
Tickets for the Sneaker Ball Party are $25, and every ticket purchased directly supports GWCC’s mission and the continued success of the Carver Arts After-School Program.
